Cops in Minot, N.D., are now searching for new clues that will lead them to Reachelle Smith. Investigators say they initially thought the little girl may have been traveling with 22-year-old Leigh Cowen. But any hopes of finding the 3-year-old with him vanished when cops found Cowen’s dead body following what appeared to

be a suicide.

Unfortunately, the discovery of Cowen’s body didn’t shed any light on where Reachelle might be. But that doesn’t mean investigators are giving up. As of May 26th, a force of 200 searchers continued the mission to find the little girl.

Search teams scoured parks, a local river and a city landfill in hopes of finding clues. The National Guard also joined the search.

But following the weekend search, police say the search is taking a new turn — things are starting to wind down in the search for little Reachelle. Investigators say the fact that they’ve received few new leads is putting a damper on their mission.

Reachelle Smith was last seen at her house on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at about 10:30 p.m., when she was put to bed. She is about 3′ feet tall and weighs about 40 pounds. She has brown eyes and straight, light brown hair.

Reachelle Smith is missing under suspicious circumstances. She was last seen at her residence in Minot, North Dakota, by her guardian at approximately 1 a.m. on May 17, 2006. When the guardian awoke the next morning and found Reachelle gone, the guardian’s male roommate stated that Reachelle would be spending a few days with his mother, with whom the child has a grandmother-type relationship.

On May 22, the guardian awoke to find the roommate missing, along with her own van. She called police to report the missing child and roommate. The roommate was later found dead in the van, by an apparent suicide, outside of Minot. Reachelle was not inside the van.

Circumstances of Disappearance:  Kellisue was last seen September 30th leaving her job as a shift supervisor at an Amsterdam Rite Aid around 9:45 p.m. She was driving a 10-year-old Saturn sedan. Three hours later, police found the car engulfed in flames a few blocks from her Johnstown home, with no sign of Kellisue. The car was parked in an area neighbors call Frog Hollow, near the Rail Trail. Police said this street wasn’t the usual way Kellisue drove home. The car was completely destroyed by the fire.

Medical Conditions:  According to her husband, she takes medication for depression, but stopped taking it because  she disappeared.

CANS Alert Issued for 5 Year Old Florida Girl

Code Amber News Service (CANS) issued this Missing Endangered person Alert after the girl disappeared from her bedroom some time after 3 AM Tuesday morning (2-10) in Satsuma. Satsuma is approximately 75 miles east of Gainsville. After two weeks of searching, and going through over 1,600 leads and tips, there is still no sign of Haleigh. The reward for information leading to her recovery has been increased to over $25,000 according to Putnam County Sheriff’s officials.

Haleigh Cummings a white female, 3 feet tall, weighs 39 pounds and has blond hair and brown eyes.

There are no suspects in this case at this time. However, due to the circumstances of the child’s disappearance an abduction is strongly suspected.

There is no suspect vehicle at this time.
