Brian K. Shepard, 40, was last seen in November after he left his six-month job with City Cab and said he was moving to Jackson.
The missing man’s father, Dale Shepard of Sparta reported his son missing to Battle Creek police Dec. 11 and said Thursday he still hasn’t heard from him.
“I just don’t know what happened,” Dale Shepard said. “We are just day by day. Maybe some day we will hear something.”
Dale Shepard said his son does not use drugs or drink, was not suicidal, and never before has disappeared.
Brian Shepard spent the weekend in Sparta just before losing his job at the cab company.
“He seemed normal,” Dale Shepard recalled. “Nothing seemed to be bothering him.”
Shepard said several weeks ago a friend claimed to see an obituary in the Grand Rapids Press for Brian Shepard but neither his family nor police could find a copy or any record that Shepard had died.
