Re: The letter Feb. 18 from Ann Kingsnorth (“Foundation works to find missing”). I want to thank you for your keen memory. Our foundation has sort of backed away from Mary Land’s case for several reasons. With the very capable new people in office along with the attorney general’s office that have taken an interest in this case, we are comfortable that they will do their job. We still are very interested and care for her family. We have worked with the state police and other law enforcement who have spent more hours than most can imagine on this as well as countless volunteers that should be commended.
Sometimes it is not good to have too many chiefs. Therefore, when we feel our part is completed, we do back away. This is mostly due to operating on our own money. We have in fact been approached by a forensic team and we are working to incorporate our efforts.
As always, we will still take tips and handle accordingly if anyone wants to go through our organization. This case needs to and should be solved. Please visit our new Web site and see what is going on for us – MissingYou.org.
